Hurricane Electric has experienced an unplanned network outage to a core router in NYC between 11:45 and 12:30 PM today. During this time, a large amount of BGP route updates were disseminated to AS peers to route traffic away from the trouble and by doing so possibly causing a potential latency issue related to customer traffic.
